Internship Program

GET REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE THAT LASTS A LIFETIME

The Festival Foundation seeks energetic people to help us plan, market, and implement our eight-day event, the National Cherry Festival and/or the Iceman Cometh Challenge. We are proud to offer internships of different lengths for the Festival Foundation, including 30-week internships, 15-week internships, and 3-week internships.

We are currently accepting applications for our summer 3-week program. Please email your resume and cover letter to internship@cherryfestival.org.

The 15-week and 30-week internship positions are full for 2024. Please check back in September for opportunities in 2025.

3 WEEK INTERNSHIPS

These shorter internships are a great lead in to learning about the National Cherry Festival’s ins and outs and prepare the student for a possible 15 or 30-week internship in the future years. These interns are engrossed in various aspects of the Festival. For more information, please click here.

15 & 30 WEEK INTERNSHIPS

The Festival Foundation Event Planning Internship provides knowledge and education on the process of event planning in several events, including a 5k race, Leapin’ Leprechaun (LL5K), an eight-day festival, National Cherry Festival (NCF) and the Iceman Cometh Challenge (the largest one day point to point Mountain Bike race in the US). Interns work on projects in areas including but not limited to sales, marketing, operations, logistics, volunteer management, ticketing, and social media under the close supervision of the Festival Foundation staff. The Festival Foundation works with universities to meet their respective requirements for students looking to receive credit for their internships.
